The following is a demo post for the WordPress book titled, “Stoked About WordPress”.
Do you have an all time favorite dessert? One that gets you all weak in the knees and watery in the mouth? Wait. Don’t answer that. Not till you have tried out my Banana Cake Recipe! Not only is it delicious, easy to make but healthy too! And while it bakes in the oven your house is going to smell AMAZING.
Without further ado, let’s get started
Ingredients for my banana cake recipe:
1.5 cups of whole wheat flour
1 tsp Baking Soda
3/4 cup sugar
1/2 tsp cinnamon
1/2 cup oil
1 tsp vanilla essence
Take all the dry ingredients (whole wheat flour, baking soda, sugar and cinnamon) and mix them up really well.
Step 2 –
In a separate bowl mash the heck out of the 4 bananas (peel them first!). Pour in the oil and the vanilla essence. Mix!
Take all the mixed up ingredients from bowl 1 and add to bowl 2. Mix!
Once your cake batter looks good, transfer it into an oven safe bowl and stick it into the oven at 350 F for about 55 min
Tip: I use an oven-safe steel bowl in step 2 (to mash/mix the bananas etc.), to cut down on the number of bowls used. What can I say I am one lazy cook.
